Cascade Canyon

One of the best hikes in the Tetons starts before you even hit the trail. Hop the scenic Jenny Lake ferry across the lake, and you're already in it. From there, it's a short climb up to Inspiration Point and then straight into Cascade Canyon, one of the most beautiful stretches of trail in the park.

Insider Tips

• Take the ferry. Check the current schedule before you go — hours vary by season.
• Keep your eyes open. Cascade Canyon is one of the best spots in the park for wildlife. 
• Go early! Parking at Jenny Lake fills up fast, and once it's gone you're waiting. Get there before 8am to be safe.
• End the day at Dornan's. Pizza, pasta, and a Bloody Mary with a front-row view of the Tetons. There's no better finish line!
