When your lips close around a bite of this strong, salty licorice, the potent Nordic taste explodes on your tongue, bringing up associations of the sea, tar, bonfire smoke and the scent of resin.

The characteristic taste of licorice in the licorice root is shaped by the soil and climate in which it grows. This means that the taste varies depending on where the licorice root is harvested and we therefore use licorice roots from different places around the world.
