The first ever Junk Shop dinner was held on Thursday evening and hosted by chefs Amanda Flosbach and Kevin Huelsmann. An email was sent out to possible attendees a week before the event. Those who accepted the invitation were given the “secret” location and the menu theme the day before the meal. The theme for the inaugural dinner was “things your parents forced you to eat” and consisted of gourmet versions of fish sticks, chicken liver meat loaf, and beet salad. Both the food and the company were deliciously fun.
