Weeknights in Jackson Hole

Weeknights in Jackson Hole

Jackson does winter weeknights right. From trivia nights to bluegrass dancing, there's always something happening after dark. Whether you're a local or just visiting, these are the ones worth planning around.

Insider Tips

Monday: Bring Your Smartest Friends

Every Monday, The Virginian Saloon Hosts trivia from 7 to 9 PM. Build your team of up to six, but grab a bite first. Billy's is right inside The Virginian, and a burger makes it easier to think. The top three teams win prizes.

Monday, Part Two: The Hoot

The Jackson Hole Hootenanny has been a Monday night tradition since 1993. Local and visiting musicians perform acoustic sets, and anyone can sign up to play. In summer, it’s held at Dornan’s. In the winter, it moves to the Silver Dollar Showroom at The Wort from 6 to 9 PM.

Tuesday: Bluegrass at the Silver Dollar

One Ton Pig has played the Silver Dollar Bar Every Tuesday, year-round, for more than 15 years. The music starts at 7:30 PM, and the dance floor fills up quickly. Busy Tuesday? The Silver Dollar also hosts live music on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Check the lineup and arrive early.

Wednesday: Fried Chicken Night

The Bistro Serves fried chicken on Wednesdays with haricots verts, pomme purée, and sage gravy. It beats cooking. A glass of wine makes it even better.

Thursday: Learn to Two-Step

Free dance lessons at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar Start at 7 PM. No experience is needed. At 8:30 PM, the band starts and you can put what you learned to use.

Any Night: The Moose

The Mangy Moose Has hosted Taj Mahal, Kris Kristofferson, Hozier, and plenty of favorites. During the summer and winter seasons, it offers free live music alongside larger ticketed shows. Check the lineup before making the drive to Teton Village.

Any Night: Something Quieter

  • Art Association: Try  life drawing with a live model, from quick sketches to longer poses. All skill levels are welcome. The Art Association also offers ceramics, painting, printmaking, photography, and mixed-media classes. Book ahead!
  • Four Seasons in Teton Village: Look for seasonal live music and special performances. The schedule changes, so check before heading over.
  • Home Yoga and La Luna: Keep an eye out for full moon gatherings, sound experiences, and movement classes offered on a rotating schedule.
